The four-level laboratory complex—including a basement, ground floor, first and top floors—covers a total built-up area of 938.44 sq. m. The basement has been allocated for parking and fitted with essential utilities like electricity, water supply and other support systems necessary for operating a high-end analytical lab.
The facility features specialized sections for water and wastewater quality testing, ambient air quality monitoring and microbiological analysis. It also includes dedicated rooms for sample storage, chemical and glassware storage, record maintenance, along with a meeting hall and adequate workspace for staff, ensuring smooth and efficient laboratory operations.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that the State Government ensured sufficient financial support to complete the project, designed as per the standards required for NABL accreditation. He added that the laboratory’s modern facilities, increased analytical capacity and strengthened safety measures will significantly boost the technical efficiency and service quality of the State Pollution Control Board.
