DIC Revamp Drive Gains Momentum in Himachal

A focused workshop on the revamping of District Industries Centres (DICs) was successfully organised on May 6, 2026, at the Business Promotion Centre in Shoghi. The session brought together officials from DICs of Shimla, Sirmaur, Solan, and Kinnaur to enhance coordination and strengthen the execution of key industrial schemes.

The workshop was attended by senior officials including General Manager DIC Shimla Sanjay Kanwar and General Manager DIC Sirmaur Rachit Sharma, along with other departmental representatives. The session also saw the active participation of Gopi Nammi, Assistant General Manager, SIDBI, who contributed valuable insights on institutional strengthening.

Discussions during the workshop centred around major government schemes such as RAMP, MSE-CDP, GIFT-SPICE, and PMEGP, with a special focus on improving their implementation at the district level and ensuring better outreach to entrepreneurs and MSMEs.

A total of 45 participants attended the programme, making it a productive platform for knowledge sharing, capacity building, and enhancing the effectiveness of industrial promotion efforts in the state.
