District-Level Kayakalp Award Ceremony Held in Shimla

A district-level Kayakalp Award ceremony was held today at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Regional Hospital, Shimla, under the chairmanship of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Shimla, Dr. Rakesh Pratap. During the event, the facility in-charges of 46 health facilities in Shimla district, which received the Kayakalp Awards, were honored with certificates of appreciation by the CMO.

Dr. Rakesh Pratap shared that the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Regional Hospital, Civil Hospital Sunni, 25 Primary Health Centers (PHCs), and 18 Health and Wellness Sub-Centers in Shimla district were recognized for their exemplary performance in infection control, hygiene, cleanliness, and fostering an eco-friendly environment for the financial year 2023-24. PHC Basantpur was adjudged the Best Primary Health Center, UPHC Annadale as the Best Urban PHC, and HWC Kirvi as the Best Health and Wellness Sub-Center in the district. Certificates of appreciation were also presented to the CHOs and healthcare workers from 12 HWCs certified by the state under the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) for delivering quality health services as per the criteria set by the Government of India.

CMO Shimla urged the Block Medical Officers (BMOs) to continue their efforts and commended the initiatives of Quality Assurance District Advisor, Dr. Akanksha Sood, for providing technical support to health facilities for implementing the NQAS and Kayakalp initiatives
