Renowned wildlife photographer and conservationist Dr. Prakash Badal, an esteemed member of the Himachal Pradesh Forest Department, will be honoured with the “Professional Excellence Award – 2025” by the Rotary Club Amritsar “Aastha.” The award will be presented during the club’s Charter Anniversary and Felicitation Function on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 7:00 PM at Ranjit Avenue, Amritsar.

This prestigious accolade recognizes Dr. Badal’s outstanding contributions to wildlife photography and conservation. His powerful visual storytelling has brought national and international attention to the importance of ecological balance and biodiversity. Particularly known for his exceptional bird photography, Dr. Badal’s work has been featured in numerous prestigious exhibitions and has garnered significant acclaim both in India and abroad.

A native of Jubbal, Himachal Pradesh, Dr. Badal has documented a wide variety of bird species from across India, using his lens to foster public awareness and advocate for environmental conservation. His previous awards and recognitions further underscore his dedication to protecting India’s natural heritage.

Dr. Ranvir Berry, President of Rotary Club Amritsar “Aastha,” emphasized that the award not only celebrates Dr. Badal’s personal achievements but also highlights the broader societal need to prioritize conservation efforts.
