Himachal Pradesh has once again demonstrated its prowess in the realm of Digital Technology by securing three prestigious awards at the ET Government DigiTech Awards-2023. The State’s exceptional initiatives in various categories have garnered accolades, with one Gold medal and two Silver medals adding to its achievements. The highly anticipated Award ceremony is scheduled to take place in Goa on August 5, 2023.
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu expressed delight over this remarkable feat and commended the Department of Digital Technologies and Governance for their dedication and hard work that led to these achievements. Himachal Pradesh clinched the coveted Gold medal for its outstanding performance in the category of Digital Excellence in Rural Sector. The State’s comprehensive consultancy initiative, focusing on the design, development, maintenance, hosting, DNS registration, and management of E-commerce websites, earned them this prestigious award.
In addition to the Gold medal, the State secured two Silver medals. The first Silver medal recognized Himachal Pradesh as a Leader in Emerging Technologies Initiatives, showcasing its forward-thinking approach and adoption of cutting-edge technologies through the Him-Parivar initiative. The second Silver medal was awarded in the category of Innovative Use of Technology in e-Governance for Digital Transformation, highlighting the State’s successful Design and development of HPSHIVA MIS portal.
This initiative underscores Himachal Pradesh’s commitment to modernizing government processes, making them more efficient, transparent, and accessible to the people.
