Tiny tots of Euro Kids Prep School, New Shimla had prepared a sweet, heart-touching event for their moms to honour and show their love, affection and commitment towards them here today in the school premises. School Principal Ravine Singh warmly greeted all the mothers on this extraordinary occasion and said that it was a special day for all the mothers, “A mother is a bank where children can deposit all their worries, fears, hurt, love and emotions, as they depend on them for anything at anytime in life. It is our humble way of honouring the mothers as we celebrate this wonderful day in a very interesting way”. With a hundred plus strength of students in the school, the event was divided into three sections, which comprised of few sweet dance performances, a poem recital by kids and an interactive creativity mother-child session. The poem titled “My Mother, My Friend” was loved by all as the morning began with some entertaining acts.
The special dance class students accompanied with few other kids danced on famous Bollywood numbers ‘Aaj Din Hai Sunny Sunny‘ and ‘Itni Si Kushi‘ under the able-guidance of their dance teacher Ms Jaanvi. Kids who performed in various dance acts were Aliya, Kashvi, Abhigyan, Kaira, Anandita, Saviyona, Charvi, Aryan, Saanvi, Raksham, Vaidha among others. The highlight of the events was the activity session between the mother and child. Few very interesting and beautiful creations were made by the duo such as photo frames, greetings cards, flower decorations and much more.
The creativity and innovative ideas that the mothers shared with their children was quite amazing as Tamanna, mother of Nirvair made an attractive butterfly card, while Chandani mother of Abhigyan made an ‘I Love You’ card. Sonal who was accompanied by her elder daughter Bhamni made a wonderful cage decorated with flowers for her younger sister Abhisri. All the mothers — Reeta mother of Sharanya, Shalini mother of Hanu, Babita mother of Sachit to name a few worked very hard to create beautiful things on the occasion, which were displayed on a table to be adjudged later.
Euro teachers Ms Rachna and Renu Chaddha said, “The aim of this kind of activity is that mother’s can spend some quality time with their children and have a greater bonding experience out of their homes. This also helps in enhancing the physical and emotional development of a child”.
Principal Ravine said that to make the event more enjoyable and without any pressure on the mothers the dance performances were done in school dress only. Children too felt comfortable this way and a get together with mothers on a school day was exciting for children too.
