Under this collaboration, both institutions will work together on academic exchange programs, internships, joint research projects, consultancy services, and participation in national and international events. The initiative is expected to promote knowledge-sharing and strengthen capacity building in the rapidly evolving field of forensic science.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Mahajan described Sandip University as an emerging institution offering specialized forensic programs. She highlighted that the partnership would provide students with access to advanced equipment and valuable hands-on experience through the Directorate’s ongoing scientific investigations.

She also emphasized the Directorate’s key role in supporting investigative agencies by applying scientific techniques to help solve criminal cases.

The agreement will remain valid for an initial period of three years and may be extended for an additional two years based on mutual consent after review.
