What began as a difficult transition during the uncertain days of the COVID-19 pandemic has today become a story of quiet determination and academic excellence for Bhumika Dawar, a student of Vishal Bharti Sr. Secondary School.

Joining the school as a “new girl” during a period dominated by online classes, isolation, and emotional uncertainty, Bhumika faced the challenges that many students experienced during the pandemic years. Adapting to unfamiliar surroundings while coping with self-doubt was not easy, yet she continued to work consistently toward building her confidence and identity.

Daughter of author Harshita Dawar, Bhumika gradually developed a strong interest in literature, creativity, and self-expression. Alongside academics, she actively participated in interschool competitions and cultural activities, including portraying Maa Sita during her school’s annual function — a performance appreciated for its sincerity and grace.

Her journey, however, was not without personal loss. During Class 10, Bhumika lost her beloved grandmother, a moment that deeply affected her. Despite the emotional setback, she continued her studies with resilience, carrying forward the values and encouragement she received from her family.

Over the years, her dedication translated into consistent academic success. Bhumika earned several recognitions during senior secondary school, including the Best Academic Award, Zonal Winner Award, and Best Achiever Academic Award 2023–24. In Class 11, she secured 92.24% marks and achieved the second position in her class.

Her efforts culminated in an impressive performance in the Class 12 board examinations, where she scored 95% with distinction. She was also honoured with the Best Achiever Academic Award 2026–27 and emerged as a topper in English, Business Studies, and Physical Education at Vishal Bharti Sr. Secondary School.

Recognising her discipline, academic consistency, and leadership qualities, the school has now invited Bhumika back as an alumni mentor to guide younger students.

Bhumika Dawar’s story reflects how perseverance, family support, and steady effort can help young individuals overcome uncertainty and grow with confidence. Her journey continues to inspire many students navigating their own challenges with hope and determination.
