In an inspiring and heartwarming interaction, students from Classes II to VI of Delhi Public School, Shimla, had the rare opportunity to meet the Hon’ble President of India at Rashtrapati Niwas in Mashobra. Accompanied by Headmistress Veena Chauhan and teachers Shweta Sood and Insha Sithta, the young learners experienced a day that blended education with inspiration.
The highlight of the visit unfolded when Class V student Diveshi Thakur presented a beautifully composed Hindi poem, enchanting the audience and drawing warm appreciation from the President. The interaction soon turned lively as students engaged in a thoughtful question-and-answer session.
Curious minds led the way—Class III student Divit Chauhan asked what it takes to become a good student. In response, the President highlighted the importance of discipline, respect for parents and teachers, sincerity, and above all, consistent hard work as the foundation of success. Adding depth to the conversation, Class V student Shreshth Sharma inquired about the President’s reading habits. Sharing a personal insight, the President revealed a preference for spiritual (Adhyatmik) literature.
The enriching session concluded on an uplifting note, leaving the students inspired, motivated, and filled with memories that will last a lifetime.
