Governor Kavinder Gupta today released the poster of “Ladli Swarozgar Yojana – Empowered Women, Empowered Himachal” at Lok Bhavan during a courtesy visit by representatives of the Ladli Foundation, Himachal Pradesh.
The initiative seeks to encourage women’s self-employment by providing them a platform to market and sell products crafted through their skills, thereby promoting entrepreneurship and financial independence among women.
Appreciating the efforts of the Foundation, the Governor extended his best wishes for the successful implementation of the scheme. He lauded its continued commitment to women empowerment and strengthening their role in the economic and social development of society.
Gupta remarked that service to humanity is akin to service to the Almighty and stressed the need for greater public participation in welfare-oriented initiatives. He expressed confidence that such programmes promoting self-reliance among women would play a vital role in building a stronger and more prosperous Himachal Pradesh.
Earlier, State President of Ladli Foundation, Shalu Akhtar, along with Diksha Sharma, briefed the Governor about the organisation’s social welfare work over the past 15 years. They highlighted that the Ladli Swarozgar Yojana aims to create sustainable livelihood opportunities by enabling women to earn through the sale of their handmade products.
