Attending the sacred Samagam of Jagadguru Mahabrahmarshi Kumar Swami Ji along with Lady Governor Bindu Gupta, Governor Kavinder Gupta highlighted that India’s spiritual and cultural traditions serve as an enduring foundation for inner peace, societal harmony, and national pride. On this occasion, Jagadguru Mahabrahmarshi Kumar Swami Ji conferred the prestigious ‘Desh Ratna’ award upon the Governor. Expressing his deep gratitude, the Governor stated that receiving the award reinforces his dedication and responsibility toward the service of society and the nation.
In his address, the Governor noted that the teachings of spiritual leaders inspire values of compassion, selfless service, discipline, and patriotism across society. He emphasized that preserving India’s rich civilizational identity is a living duty that must be nurtured and passed down to future generations alongside modern progress. Grounded in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a strong and self-reliant nation, he stressed that achieving the goal of a Viksit Bharat by 2047 requires the active, collective participation of every citizen.
Expressing concern over divisive elements, the Governor urged the public to stay vigilant against forces attempting to disrupt communal harmony and age-old social bonds. He called on citizens to stand united, rejecting mistrust, hatred, and misinformation to protect the nation’s core ethos of unity in diversity. He reiterated that true national development must go hand in hand with preserving cultural identity, moral values, and traditional wisdom.
