Governor Honors Field Workers of SEHB Society on Swachh Bharat Diwas

Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar felicitated the field workers of SEHB Society through “Maitri Society for All Kind” on the occasion of Swachh Bharat Diwas organized on the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, today at Raj Bhavan and also distributed heaters to them. Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said that these efforts of ‘Maitri’ were inspirations for others. He said that other social organizations should also come forward in these activities.

He also appreciated the initiative of ‘Maitri’ for adopting about 158 TB patients in Shimla under Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. He said that the organization was also associated with works like marriage of poor girls, child development works, health camps and organ donation etc, which was appreciable. On the occasion, Mamta Goel, President, ‘Maitri Society for All Kind’ welcomed the Governor. Official Bearers of the society were also present on the occasion.
