Governor Praises Youth, Recalls Upadhyay’s Legacy

Himachal Pradesh Governor Kavinder Gupta lauded the life and contributions of Sunil Upadhyay as a symbol of sacrifice and patriotism while addressing a seminar and youth felicitation ceremony आयोजित by the Sunil Upadhyay Educational Trust on his birth anniversary.

The Governor said that Upadhyay’s ideals continue to inspire youth to serve the nation with dedication and commitment. He described the event as not just a seminar or award function, but a tribute to a personality who devoted his life to society and nation-building. He added that Upadhyay’s life reflected courage, dedication and selfless service, and his work in Himachal Pradesh gave a new direction to the student movement.

Highlighting his perseverance, the Governor noted that despite health challenges, Upadhyay continued to work tirelessly, leaving behind a lasting legacy.

Referring to the leadership of Narendra Modi, he said India is progressing rapidly through initiatives like Skill India, Startup India, Digital India and Atmanirbhar Bharat, which are creating new opportunities for youth. He also emphasized that the National Education Policy has made education more practical and employment-oriented.

Stressing the vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047,” he underlined the crucial role of youth in nation-building and called for a balance of knowledge, skills, discipline and dedication.

Earlier, the Governor felicitated young achievers from various fields. On the occasion, former ABVP National President Prof. Nagesh Thakur and Vice-President of the Trust Ashok Sharma also shared their views and paid tribute to Sunil Upadhyay.
