Governor Presides Over Shoolini Fair Closing

HP Governor Shukla presided over the closing ceremony of the state-level Shoolini Fair in Solan on Sunday evening. Lady Governor Janaki Shukla also graced the occasion.

Governor Shukla congratulated the district administration and the Shoolini Fair Committee for the successful conduct of the vibrant cultural event. He also appreciated the community’s active participation, which made the fair a grand success.

On this occasion, the Governor was honoured by Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. (Col) Dhani Ram Shandil in recognition of his presence and encouragement.

Prior to the ceremony, the Governor visited the historic Durga Temple in Ganj Bazaar, where he offered prayers for the well-being and prosperity of the people of Himachal Pradesh.

During the event, the Governor pinned badges on the newly inducted lifetime members of the Solan Red Cross Society and expressed hope that they would serve humanity with dedication and inspire others to follow the path of service.

Governor Shukla also felicitated young artist Vineet Kashyap, a first-year student at Government College Solan, for designing the official invitation card and other materials for the fair. Astrologer Jyotishacharya Devendra Verma was also honoured for his contributions.

Kasauli MLA Vinod Sultanpuri attended the event as a special guest and was felicitated by Deputy Commissioner and State-level Mela Committee Chairman Manmohan Sharma.

The closing ceremony was also attended by Vice-Chancellor of Dr. Y.S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Dr. Rajeshwar Singh Chandel, Secretary to the Governor C.P. Verma, and other senior officials and dignitaries.
