Himachal Pradesh Governor Shukla formally inaugurated the first cultural evening of the International Minjar Fair–2025 at the historic Chaugan in Chamba on Sunday evening by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Lady Governor Janaki Shukla accompanied him at the event, which marked the beginning of the week-long cultural celebrations.

The MoU aims to introduce free counselling services and skill-based training under the Responsible Tourism initiative, promoting sustainable tourism practices in the region.

The inaugural evening was also attended by Speaker of the Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Kuldeep Singh Pathania and his wife Neena Pathania, along with MLAs Neeraj Nayyar and Dr. Hans Raj. D.S. Thakur, Chairman of the District Agricultural Produce and Marketing Committee, Lalit Thakur, and Secretary to the Governor, C.P. Verma, were also present.
