Governor Shukla Inaugurates Free Acupuncture Camp in Shimla

Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, who is also the President of the Himachal Pradesh State Red Cross Society, inaugurated a two-day free acupuncture medical camp at the State Red Cross Bhavan today. The camp has been organized by the Himachal Pradesh State Red Cross Section in collaboration with the All India Acupuncture Foundation, New Delhi.

State Red Cross Hospital Welfare Section Chairperson Janaki Shukla was also present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said that the State Red Cross was actively contributing to health awareness initiatives. He said that a similar acupuncture camp was organized last year, which has benefitted large number of people.

Considering its positive results the camp was being organised again this year and renowned acupuncture specialist Dr. Sunil Kumar rendered his services. He said that acupuncture was a natural and effective treatment method to heal ailments. Secretary to Governor and General Secretary of the State Red Cross C.P. Verma and life-time members of the State Red Cross were also present on the occasion.
