Governor Shukla Visits Mandi Disaster Sites, Assures Timely Relief and Support

HP Governor Shukla visited the disaster-hit areas of Mandi district to assess the ground situation and extend support to the affected families. Touring severely impacted locations including Tungal Colony near Jail Road, the Governor interacted with disaster victims, listened to their concerns, and expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss of lives and property. He assured the families that the administration, with the support of both the State and Central Governments, is fully committed to providing comprehensive relief, including shelter, food, and medical aid.

During the visit, the Governor reviewed ongoing relief operations and instructed officials to intensify their efforts for swift and effective assistance. He praised the dedication of the district administration, disaster response teams, and local volunteers for their prompt and coordinated action in the aftermath of the calamity. Governor Shukla emphasized that the people of Himachal Pradesh have consistently shown courage and resilience during difficult times and assured that the government is working with urgency to restore normalcy.

Accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Apoorv Devgan and senior district officials, the Governor also visited the Panchayat Bhawan where temporary arrangements have been made for displaced families. He met with them personally and reiterated the administration’s continued support. Earlier, he inspected the damage along Jail Road and later paid a visit to the historic Gurudwara Guru Gobind Singh Ji at Paddal. There, he offered heartfelt condolences to a bereaved family that lost three members in the disaster.
