Governor Thanks PM Modi for Redevelopment of Baijnath-Paprola Railway Station under Amrit Bharat Scheme

Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla has extended heartfelt gratitude to PM Modi for dedicating the redeveloped Baijnath-Paprola railway station to the nation as part of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The Governor expressed his appreciation on behalf of the people of Himachal Pradesh, noting that such initiatives will significantly strengthen tourism and create employment opportunities across the state.

Governor Shukla participated virtually in the national inauguration ceremony from Karsog in Mandi district, where the Prime Minister inaugurated 103 redeveloped railway stations across India, connecting from Bikaner, Rajasthan.

He emphasized that India is witnessing rapid and historic growth in railway infrastructure. The central government, he said, is fully committed to expanding and modernizing the rail network across the country.

Highlighting developments in the state, the Governor stated that railway projects worth ₹17,714 crore are currently in progress in Himachal Pradesh. Furthermore, a record ₹2,716 crore has been allocated to the state in the Union Budget for 2025–26 for railway development.

He also revealed that plans are underway to develop four railway stations in Himachal Pradesh with world-class amenities under the Amrit Bharat scheme, further enhancing the region’s connectivity and infrastructure.
