Aah! That beautiful serene greenery covering the ground, a perfect view where love and peace is found! Plants are one of the most beautiful gift of nature and there abundance makes our environment richer. Now, what I see is that people want greenery around them but then they hardly put in efforts to maintain the green environment.
Our recent endevour to play a part towards enriching the environment, the students of Hainault Public School, Shimla undertook a plantation drive in Mainsfield, near Ram Chander Chowk, below the Housing Board Colony, Jakhoo. The first tree was planted by our Principal, Ritu Pal, followed by the teachers and then the over excited students. The feeling of being able to do something good for the nature was stimulating and thrilling. As students we appreciated the opportunity given to us by our school to do something different from our daily routine activities and through this plantation drive we all were introduced with the importance of plants in nature.
