CM Sukhu laid the foundation stone for the new and modern building of the Government Senior Secondary School (GSSS) in Nadaun, Hamirpur district, to be constructed at a cost of ₹17.52 crore. Replacing the old and dilapidated structure, the construction of this new complex will be completed by December this year. The multi-storey building will be equipped with modern amenities, including 6 classrooms, 7 laboratories, staff rooms, an administrative block, a digital library, a conference room, and dedicated rooms for music, art, and NSS activities.
Reiterating his commitment to strengthening education and the rural economy, the Chief Minister announced that new teachers will be deployed through a transparent process by September 30. To generate employment for the youth and boost sports tourism, a state-of-the-art sports complex featuring facilities for 14 indoor sports is being developed in Nadaun. Additionally, the bidding process has been initiated to establish an AIIMS-level Ayurvedic institution spanning 74 bighas in Hamirpur, along with an Allied and Health Care Medical College.
For the region’s overall development, announcements were made to construct a new ghat near the Nadaun bridge along the Beas river at a cost of ₹250 crore and to renovate the local bus stand. Expressing gratitude to the people of Nadaun for their continued support and affection, the Chief Minister stated that he remains fully dedicated to public welfare. HP Marketing Board Chairman Kuldeep Singh Pathania, MLA Sanjay Rattan, HP OBC Finance and Development Corporation Vice Chairman Dr. Mohan Lal, and other dignitaries were present at the event.
