Guru Tegh Bahadur’s Sacrifice a Beacon of Humanity: CM

CM Sukhu attended a special ceremony in Anandpur Sahib held to commemorate the 350th Shahidi Diwas of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. On this solemn occasion, the Chief Minister paid homage at the Gurudwara and participated in the religious proceedings.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s supreme sacrifice stands as an enduring symbol of the protection of faith, humanity and truth. He noted that the Guru laid down his life not only for Sikhism but also for safeguarding the fundamental rights and freedom of every religion and community. “Guru Tegh Bahadur’s unwavering stand against oppression continues to inspire generations,” he remarked.

The Chief Minister added that the Guru’s teachings promote mutual respect, brotherhood and tolerance, values that strengthen the fabric of India’s unity in diversity. “At a time when society urgently needs peace, harmony and social justice, the message and legacy of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji become even more relevant,” he said.

MLAs Hardeep Singh Bawa, Vivek Sharma, and several other dignitaries were also present at the event.
