A Three-day art exhibition entitled “Harmony in Hues” by Garima Lohumi began today at the iconic Gaiety Theatre.
Inaugurating the exhibition Dr. Pankaj Lalit, Director of Art, Culture and Language Department, appreciating the efforts of the young artist in exploring new possibilities in art. She has not confined her artistic talent to “Painting on the canvas” and created numerous attractive art pieces under the brand name “Himalayan Canvas” like hand-painted iPhone covers, E-poxy coated wooden wall hangings, fridge magnets, key rings, exclusive art printed on T-shirts and Tote bags.
Her feat was all the more creditable as she had not undergone any formal training in art and learned the skill on her own. Some of her painting, particularly Himalayan landscapes, were amazing. An M.B.A. and post graduate in Yoga, Garima left her job in multi-national company to pursue her passion for art. She took her painting seriously during Covid pandemic and there has been no looking back since.
