Health Minister Dr. (Col) Dhani Ram Shandil while presiding over the review meeting of the 108 Ambulance services here today said that the ambulances which have completed 10 years of purchase or have completed the mileage of 3.5 lakh kilometers, should be replaced immediately with the new ones to facilitate the public.
He strictly directed the company providing 108 Ambulance services that they should take up the maintenance of the existing fleet as per the agreement and replace the old ambulances with new ones as soon as possible as per terms and conditions of the MoU.
The Minister also emphasized the importance of responding immediately to the calls from the people and ensuring that service is accessible statewide, enabling people to receive prompt attention. He also directed to have essential first aid kits and life-saving equipments in good service condition.
Secretary Health M. Sudha Devi, Mission Director NHM, Priyanka Verma, Director Health Services Gopal Beri and representatives of the company of 108 Ambulance Services were also present in the meeting amongst others.
