In a review meeting of the Education Department chaired by CM Sukhu, the state government finalized the dress codes for teachers, uniforms for students, and the color scheme for CBSE school buildings.

Under the new guidelines, students in CBSE schools will wear a distinct uniform based on a green color scheme. Female teachers will wear light lilac purple attire, while male teachers will wear light blue trousers and shirts. Teachers are required to maintain a neat, formal, modest, and professional dress code with minimal accessories, along with wearing their identity cards on duty. Additionally, school buildings will be painted in olive green and sand beige shades.

The Chief Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to delivering quality education and modern facilities near students’ homes. He highlighted that ₹80 crore has already been sanctioned to upgrade infrastructure and facilities for students and teachers, with an additional ₹5 crore to be released to further enhance the educational environment.
