The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education has declared the Class 12 results, recording an impressive overall pass percentage of 92.02, marking a notable improvement over previous years. Education Minister Rohit Thakur congratulated students across the state for their strong performance and dedication.

Out of 81,417 students who appeared for the examinations, 74,637 successfully cleared them. Calling the results “encouraging,” the Minister said they reflect the positive outcomes of continuous reforms and focused efforts to strengthen the education system.

He expressed particular pride in the fact that a large number of top-ranking students belong to government schools, highlighting the steady rise in the standard of public education in the state.

Acknowledging the collective effort behind the success, Rohit Thakur credited students for their hard work, teachers for their unwavering commitment, and parents for their constant support. He especially praised government school teachers for their role in mentoring students and helping them achieve academic excellence.

The Minister also highlighted the remarkable performance of girls, who once again outperformed boys. Of the 40,281 girls who appeared, 37,749 passed, while 36,888 boys qualified out of 40,828 candidates. He described this achievement as a proud moment for the state and a reflection of the growing confidence and capability of young women.

Encouraging students to build on this success, Rohit Thakur urged them to aim higher, stay focused, and contribute positively to society. He reiterated that the strong results, particularly from government schools, signal that the state’s education initiatives are moving in the right direction.
