In a solemn and patriotic event titled ‘Jai Hind Sabha’, Himachal Pradesh CM paid rich tribute to brave soldiers, gallantry award recipients, and the families of martyrs who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty. The function, held in Shimla, was a gesture of gratitude and recognition for their unparalleled courage and service to the nation.
During the event, Sukhu presented financial assistance to the next of kin of three martyrs:

₹30 lakh to the family of Subedar Major Pawan, who laid down his life in Operation Sindoor. The cheque was received by his father Garaj Singh and son Abhishek.

₹15 lakh to Jamila, wife of Kirti Chakra awardee Naik Dilbar Khan.
In addition to the financial assistance, the Chief Minister honoured several gallantry award recipients and the families of fallen heroes from across various districts of Himachal Pradesh.
