In a major push to industrial development, the Himachal Pradesh Government has submitted two proposals worth ₹234 crore to the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Government of India, under the Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojana (BHAVYA) Scheme, in line with the vision of CM Sukhu.

The first proposal is for a ₹154-crore plug-and-play industrial park at Majholi Industrial Area, Nalagarh (Solan), to be developed over nearly 150 acres. The project is expected to strengthen the industrial ecosystem of the Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh (BBN) region.

The second proposal involves an ₹80-crore industrial park at Beetan Industrial Area near Tahliwal (Una), spread across around 75 acres. Located close to the upcoming Bulk Drug Park at Haroli, it is expected to provide key support infrastructure for allied industries.

The BHAVYA Scheme aims to develop investment-ready industrial parks with world-class infrastructure, digital governance, reliable utilities and sustainable facilities. Approved projects are eligible for Central assistance of ₹1 crore per acre and will be implemented jointly by the State Government and the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC).

Industries Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan said the proposals reflect the government’s commitment to strengthening industrial infrastructure, attracting investment and creating employment opportunities. He added that these projects will further establish Himachal Pradesh as a preferred investment destination.

Principal Secretary (Industries) M. Sudha said the department is also identifying additional land parcels across the state for developing more plug-and-play industrial parks. Director of Industries Vivek Bhatia said all necessary support and infrastructure will be provided for the timely development of the proposed projects.
