Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, alongside his wife, MLA Kamlesh Thakur, completed their self-enumeration for the upcoming phase of Census 2027 at their official residence, Oakover, in Shimla.
Following the process, the Chief Minister urged citizens, particularly those living in the state’s snow-bound regions, to actively engage in the census initiative. He highlighted that providing accurate personal and household details is vital for assessing the state’s developmental needs and planning public infrastructure effectively. He encouraged residents to take advantage of the self-enumeration facility available between August 17 and August 31, 2026, and appealed to the public to extend full cooperation to census enumerators visiting households from September 1 to September 30, 2026.
