Himachal Organizes HIV Awareness Camps in Kullu & Una

Project Director of the Himachal Pradesh State AIDS Control Society Rajiv Kumar stated that four awareness camps on HIV prevention were organized in Kullu and Una districts. The camps were organised in collaboration with Himachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority.

The camps were organized in Gram Panchayat Kaloh, Gram Panchayat Kalruhi and Government Senior Secondary School (Boys) Una of District Una and Gram Panchayat Bajaura of District Kullu.

In these camps, over 200 people were made aware about HIV, AIDS as well as TB, sexually transmitted infections, hepatitis B-C and drug prevention. The oath to Make Himachal HIV AIDS free was also taken during the events. Awareness material related to HIV prevention was also distributed in the camps.

He said that awareness camps on HIV prevention were being organised across eight districts of the state by the State AIDS Control Society in collaboration with the Himachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority.
