Himachal Pradesh Police Tops National Rankings In CCTNS Performance 2023

Himachal Pradesh Police has ranked first in Crime and Criminal Network Tracking & Systems (CCTNS) performance for the year 2023. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) awarded the HP Police at New Delhi during the Annual Conference on “Good Practices in CCTNS/ICJS” on 21st & 22nd December, 2023.

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu while congratulating the Police department for this remarkable achievement said that HP police ranked first in the fourth consecutive year in a row in Hilly and North-Eastern States in CCTNS performance.

We have achieved this milestone by moving ahead of many States in CCTNS performance. This has been achieved with the dedicated and joint efforts of all field level Police officers and State level CCTNS team at SCRB under the able guidance of senior officers involved in the CCTNS project implementation, said the Chief Minister.

Director General of Police, Sanjay Kundu thanked the Chief Minister for his motivation and constant help in improving the working of the Police department. He said that to monitor the CCTNS Project implementation performance of all States/UTs of India, Govt. of India, MHA, National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB), New Delhi has set predefined parameters in PRAGATI for all States/UTs to decide the State wise CCTNS performance ranking. The State of Himachal Pradesh has fulfilled all those parameters and maintained the same for successfully implementing the CCTNS project.

He said that CCTNS was the backbone of police working in India and HP Police being ranked first this year also has maintained top position as was in years i.e. 2020, 2021 & 2022 and awarded by the NCRB/ MHA, New Delhi.
