In a major step toward modernizing welfare administration, the Himachal Pradesh government has launched an integrated online platform to streamline the entire process of the Mukhya Mantri Sahara Yojana—from initial registration to final financial payout. Designed to operate as a single-window system, the new digital framework eliminates administrative delays, saving both time and travel costs for beneficiaries.
According to the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, 1,562 applications have already been received through the portal since its rollout.
Prospective applicants, as well as individuals with previously pending requests, are advised to submit their details directly via the official portal (himparivar.hp.gov.in/ekalyan) or visit their nearest Lok Mitra Kendra. Local Anganwadi workers are available to assist in identifying eligible individuals, verifying documents, and completing necessary application formalities.
Important Notice: Applicants or beneficiaries whose requests were previously put on hold by the Himachal Pradesh National Health Insurance Society must reapply through the new online portal to receive financial assistance.
The Mukhya Mantri Sahara Yojana aims to provide vital financial assistance to economically weaker families coping with serious, long-term, and debilitating health conditions.
The scheme covers individuals suffering from:
-
Parkinson’s disease and malignant cancer
-
Paralysis resulting in permanent disability
-
Conditions causing prolonged illness or long-term bed confinement
-
Muscular dystrophy, haemophilia, and thalassaemia
-
Acute or chronic kidney failure
-
Severe substance addiction and other debilitating medical conditions that render a person permanently unable to work
The state government has dispatched financial support for the April–June 2026 quarter to 3,813 eligible, identity-verified, and active beneficiaries.
However, payments for 91 beneficiaries remain temporarily on hold due to incomplete e-KYC verification. Assistance for these individuals will be released by their respective District Welfare Officers as soon as their e-KYC process is finalized.
For comprehensive information about the scheme, applicants or their caregivers can reach out directly to their local District Welfare Officer (DWO) or Tehsil Welfare Officer (TWO).
