A wave of devotion swept through Himachal Pradesh as thousands of devotees gathered to celebrate the three-day Maa Baglamukhi Jayanti with deep faith and spiritual enthusiasm.

The festival began on Thursday with a traditional flag-hoisting ceremony by temple priests, setting the tone for the auspicious occasion. On Friday, the temple premises came alive with a bhajan sandhya, kanya pujan, and a grand maha aarti, drawing large crowds of devotees. The celebrations concluded on Saturday with a sacred havan mahayagya performed by the priestly community.

Devotees from across Himachal Pradesh, as well as neighbouring states like Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi, visited the shrine to seek blessings for prosperity, happiness, and relief from difficulties. The atmosphere remained charged with devotion as chants of “Jai Mata Di” echoed throughout the day, with long queues of devotees stretching from early morning till late night.

The temple was adorned with vibrant flowers, decorative lights, and traditional embellishments, giving it a festive, bridal-like appearance. The spiritual ambience and grandeur left visitors deeply immersed in reverence.

Special rituals, including Durga Saptashati recitations, bhajan-kirtan, and havan yajnas, were performed during the celebrations. Devotees offered yellow clothes, coconuts, chunris, and prasad as part of their devotion.

According to religious beliefs, Maa Baglamukhi, revered as one of the ten Mahavidyas, symbolizes the power of ‘stambhan shakti’—the ability to remove obstacles and grant strength and victory. Worship on this occasion is believed to bring success, protection, and peace of mind.

To manage the heavy rush, the temple administration and district police made elaborate arrangements for security, traffic control, parking, drinking water, and smooth darshan. Community kitchens (langars) were also organised by devotees both inside and outside the temple premises, ensuring that visitors were well taken care of throughout the event.
