The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, is set to embark on a five-day visit to Himachal Pradesh from April 27 to May 1, combining official engagements with her annual summer stay in the hills.
During her visit, the President will stay at Rashtrapati Niwas Mashobra, her official summer retreat near Shimla. On April 28, she will attend a banquet hosted by the Governor at Lok Bhavan Shimla.
As part of her itinerary, the President will visit the strategically significant Atal Tunnel on April 29, showcasing one of the region’s major infrastructure achievements.
On April 30, she will preside over the convocation ceremony at Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya in Palampur, where she will address graduating students. Later that day, she will host an ‘At Home’ reception at Rashtrapati Niwas, Mashobra.
The visit will conclude on May 1 with her visit to the Army Training Command, following which she will return to Delhi.
