The renovated Shraddhanjali Sthal at the Army Heritage Museum, Annandale, was rededicated today by Lieutenant General Devendra Sharma, PVSM, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Army Training Command (ARTRAC), in a solemn wreath-laying ceremony.
On the occasion, a 52-foot-high National Flag of India was unveiled, symbolizing the nation’s unity and pride while paying tribute to the supreme sacrifices of Indian Army soldiers. The flag adds to the prominence of the museum, one of Shimla’s key tourist attractions, drawing significant visitor footfall throughout the year.
The ceremony saw participation from military personnel of Headquarters ARTRAC, station units, ex-servicemen, and NCC cadets, who observed a moment of respect for the brave martyrs. The Shraddhanjali Sthal has been upgraded to enhance its sanctity and aesthetic appeal, reinforcing its role as a space for remembrance, reflection, and inspiration.
The rededication of the memorial, alongside the installation of the towering Tricolour, underscores the Indian Army’s ongoing commitment to honour its fallen heroes and preserve a rich legacy of valour, sacrifice, and patriotism.
