Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU), Shimla has secured the 34th position in the NIRF 2025 Rankings under the Law category, marking a major achievement for the young institution established in 2016.
The ranking, released by the Ministry of Education, highlights HPNLU’s focus on academic excellence, research, and holistic student development. Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Nishtha Jaswal dedicated the success to the collective efforts of the faculty, staff, and students, and termed it a motivational milestone.
HPNLU performed notably well in parameters such as teaching, research, graduate outcomes, and inclusivity, placing it among the top 40 law institutions in India. The recognition underscores Himachal Pradesh’s rising profile in the field of higher legal education.
