Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has started a new M.Sc. Degree programme in ‘Home Science-Community Development and Extension Management’ from the session July, 2024. The candidates having bachelor degree in any stream from a recognized University are eligible for admission. The minimum duration of the programme is 2 years which can also be completed in maximum time period of 4 years without paying any additional fee. The 80 credits programme consists of Project Work and Theoretical components. The medium is available in English and the examination will be conducted on annual basis.
The programme is prepared according to the guidelines of NEP 2020, has an exit option for the students. The students will be awarded PG Diploma in Community Development and Extension Management after completing the study of 1st year and complete degree will be awarded after the completion of study of 2nd year.
In addition to this, M.Sc. degree Programmes in Mathematics with Applications in Computer Science, Dietetics and Food Service Management, Food Safety and Quality Management, Counselling and Family Therapy, Environment, Geography, Applied Statistics, Geoinformatics, Physics, Chemistry, Bio-Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Zoology, Industrial Safety, Information Security, Renewable Energy and Environment are also on offer.
Admission process in other various Master/Bachelor Degree, Diploma/ Certificate programmes and Re-registration for the July, 2024 session is open for which the University has extended the last date till 31st July, 2024.
