In a bid to bridge classroom learning with high-tech industry trends, Himachal Pradesh Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani held a virtual interaction with state students currently on an educational exposure visit to IIT Delhi.

The initiative aims to give local technical students direct, hands-on exposure to cutting-edge sectors—specifically semiconductor technology and Very Large-Scale Integration (VLSI) chip design—fields that are actively shaping the future of global tech and industrial growth.

During the interactive feedback session, Dharmani quizzed the students on their key takeaways, hands-on lab experiences, and discussions with IIT faculty. He urged them to leverage the premier institute’s resources to build a strong foundation in research, innovation, and emerging tech careers. Emphasizing that exposure to top-tier academic hubs is vital for staying competitive, the Minister advised students to stay curious and hone industry-relevant skills.

Dharmani extended his thanks to the IIT Delhi team, offering special appreciation to Dr. Rajendra Singh and his crew for curating a rich academic experience. He reiterated the state’s resolve to continue funding and facilitating direct interactions with leading national institutes to boost employability.

Joining the session, Director of Technical Education Rohit Rathour advised the cohort to squeeze maximum value out of IIT Delhi’s world-class laboratories and expert sessions. Students shared enthusiastic feedback, noting that seeing advanced semiconductor fabrication firsthand gave them fresh perspectives on future research and career paths in deep tech.
