Independence Day Celebration in Auckland House School for Boys

The 75th Independence Day was celebrated in Auckland House School for Boys, Shimla on 15th August 2022 by the students and staff members following Social Distancing Norms. Flag Hoisting Ceremony took place in the school ground. The March Past and the Pipe Band was led by the School Head Boy.

The School Principal, Mr. Michael A. John unfurled the Tricolour. This was followed by the speech and a prayer service conducted by the School Principal, to commemorate the sacrifices of the freedom fighters who laid down their lives for the country. The School Head Boy, Pranav Chauhan, started the programme with his speech, followed by different performances showcased by the students of L.P.D, U.P.D and Senior Section. To mark the event various activities were conducted in the school throughout the week, where students from Nursery to XII participated in Declamation, Slogan Writing, Poetry Recitation, Quiz and Painting Competition based on the theme “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”.
