The Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) of Shimla celebrated the Independence Day on 15th August, 2014 at the YWCA of Simla, Constantia, The Mall, Shimla, with a colourful and a vibrant cultural programme presented by the students of various vocational classes. Secretary, YWCA of Simla, Sneh Singh warmly welcomed all present on this occasion. To commemorate the sovereignty of the nation the tricolour flag was unfurled and the National Anthem was sung.
The programme was attended by around 150 members including students of vocational classes. Diplomas to students of vocational classes were also awarded during the function. Patriotic presentations (group dance, group song, speech, etc.) added colours to the celebrations.
