Industries Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan chaired the 9th meeting of the High Powered Committee (HPC) of the Himachal Pradesh Bulk Drug Park Infrastructure Limited (HPBDPIL) today, where he reviewed the progress and actions taken on key decisions from the previous meeting. The session focused on resolving pre-bid queries raised by potential bidders ahead of the next phase of implementation.

Participating companies, attending virtually, raised technical and regulatory questions concerning the design, construction, and commissioning of critical infrastructure—particularly the common effluent treatment plant with zero liquid discharge and the hazardous waste collection facility. The committee provided clarifications, including those related to environmental clearances, assuring transparency and guidance for all participants.

Minister Chauhan reiterated the state government’s commitment to supporting investors and ensuring smooth execution of the Bulk Drug Park project. “With pre-bid issues resolved, the bidding process is now expected to proceed without delay,” he said, directing departments to fast-track tender allotments to keep the project on schedule.

He emphasized the importance of maintaining momentum and instructed all stakeholder departments to work in close coordination to prevent procedural delays and meet set deadlines.

The meeting was attended by Advisor (Infrastructure) to the Chief Minister Anil Kapil, Additional Chief Secretary (Industries) R.D. Nazeem, HPSIDC Managing Director Rajeshwar Goel, Additional CEO (Industries) Tilak Raj Sharma, and senior officials from various stakeholder departments.
