To ensure the successful organization of International Kullu Dussehra, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sunder Singh Thakur chaired the meeting of ambassadors held in New Delhi on Thursday.
Chairing the meeting, Sunder Singh Thakur said that this year 21 countries will participate in the International Kullu Dussehra Festival.
He said that Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu will hold talks with ambassadors, excellencies and heads of missions of various countries in Kullu on October 18, 2024 to discuss various points. He said that this will help in promoting trade and business as well as cultural exchange. He said that artisans from these countries will set up stalls and cultural groups will present folk dances in the International Folk Dance Festival.
He also briefed the diplomats and representatives of various embassies about the preparations for the event. He also informed about the various facilities and travel assistance provided to participate in Dussehra. Principal Resident Commissioner SK Singla gave information about the event.
On this occasion, DDG Amit Mathur of Indian Council for Cultural Relations also gave valuable information. The representatives of the embassies expressed their gratitude for the support of the Himachal Pradesh government in the past years. Conservator of Forests Neeraj Chadha, diplomats and representatives from various embassies attended the meeting.
