Education Minister Rohit Thakur today laid the foundation stone and inaugurated projects worth crores during his one-day visit to Jubbal Nawar Kotkhai assembly constituency. Rohit Thakur performed the bhoomi pujan of the road level improvement and upgradation work of Nihari Kudi Mohali to be constructed at a cost of about Rs 4 crore in Garavag Panchayat of Kotkhai tehsil and the newly constructed building of Government Senior Secondary School, Jauni, constructed at a cost of Rs 1 crore 20 lakh. Inaugurated.

While addressing the people present in a function organized in the school, the Education Minister said that the present government is trying to provide high quality education in the state. Working in this direction, the vacant posts of teachers are being filled in a phased manner. He said that in Himachal, education is being provided to the students through better infrastructure in the field of education.

Keeping in view the future challenges, the state government is working towards improving the quality of education to provide world class opportunities to the students. He said that the state government has taken many such decisions last year which have shown improvement in the quality of education.

He said that he has a close relationship with Garavag Panchayat and it is an important Panchayat of his assembly constituency, hence no let up will be allowed in the development works of the Panchayat. He informed that in this area, construction of a bridge on Gray road at a cost of about Rs 1 crore 50 lakh and a culvert at a cost of Rs 30 lakh is in progress.

During this, the Education Minister along with Sub Divisional Magistrate Jubbal Rajeev Namran visited the Government Senior Secondary School, Jauni. Inspected the ongoing annual examinations of class 10+2 and also gave necessary instructions related to the examinations to the Principal and other teachers.

Foundation stone of primary health center laid in Gram Panchayat Tharola, Rs 1.78 crore will be spent

After this, the Education Minister laid the foundation stone of the building of Primary Health Center to be constructed at a cost of Rs 1 crore 78 lakh in Gram Panchayat Tharola. While interacting with the people present in another public meeting organized during this period, Rohit Thakur said that the present Congress government is committed to the development of Himachal Pradesh.

The construction of the building of the first aid center and other works to be done in Tharola is a link in this connection. He said that with the construction of Primary Health Center, better health services will be available to the people of the area at their doorstep. The Education Minister also listened to the problems of the people in Gram Panchayat Tharola and assured to solve them.

Targeted at BJP

Taking aim at BJP, Rohit Thakur said that the previous BJP government definitely played the double engine in the state but it could not do anything in the name of development. Even during the tenure of the present state government, it did not provide any kind of relief to the state during the disaster but definitely tried to run Operation Lotus to destabilize the Congress government.

He said that with the cooperation and support of the people of Himachal, the Congress government will complete its 5-year tenure and ensure all-round development of the state. On this occasion, Congress Mandal President Motilal Derata, local Gram Panchayat public representatives, other senior Congress workers, officers and employees of various departments were also present.
