Janamashtami Celebrations in SD School

SD School’s Kanha Day Care Center celebrated the birth of Sri Krishna on 13thAugust, 2014 as tiny tots danced to the tunes of Kabhi Ram Banke Kabhi Shyam Banke Chale Ana Prabhuji Chale Ana’. Keshav, Sarthak, Atharv played the role of Krishna; Shrishti and Ridhima as Radha; while Aadvika, Arvan, Angel, Vaishnavi, Gunjan, Mannt, Manjita, Deepshikha, Shargam were dressed up as beautiful Gopis. Priyanshu playd the part of as Balram and role of Raja Kans was played by Mayank and Amrit. Janit played the role of Sudama and Samar played Arjun in the amazing performance given by the little ones.

Principal of SD School, V.K. Sodhi stated the importance of the festival by saying that “It is said that when God was born, there was turmoil in the nature to symbolize the fury and turmoil in the city of Mathura as well as in every heart. This is the day when Divine power came on Earth to save the people from all evils. God even spread the message of kinship and fraternity. He taught us to believe in ‘karma’. The main significance of this festival lies in encouraging goodwill and discouraging bad will”.
