The Environment, Ecology and Health Club of JYC, Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), organized a tree plantation drive on the occasion of World Earth Day at 11:00 am today.
The initiative was coordinated by faculty members Prof. Poonam Sharma, Dr. Ashok Kumar Nadda, and Dr. Rishi Rana, along with student coordinators Mr. Aditya and Mr. Aryan. The event was conducted to commemorate Earth Day and promote awareness about environmental protection and ecological balance.
Around 50 students actively participated in the plantation drive, highlighting the importance of safeguarding nature and maintaining environmental health. The programme aimed to reinforce the message of sustainable living and collective responsibility towards the environment.
