An exuberant and energetic display was put up by the Junior Section students of the Shimla Public School, Khalini, during their Annual Sports Meet, here today. The chief guest for the occasion was Kushal Malhotra, MD of JCB School, New Shimla. Students from Nursery up to Third Classes participated in various athletic events, while students of Classes Fourth to Seventh displayed few amazing PT and drill exercises.
Students participating in races from nursery class were Ketan, Monika, Mannat, Arav, Shivika, Sonaksi, Ruhi, Kanika, Gaurav, Yamini, and Kartik, while participants from Kinder Garten section were Naman, Yogita, Yuvraj Piyush, Kartik, Ronit, Salman, Ashmit, Karuna among others. Students from Class Four performed Mass PT and students of Class Five displayed Mass Drill. An energetic display of dumb bells and aerobics was put up by Class Six students followed by another brisk drill display by students of Class Seven.
The tiny tots in their mask race, sack race, tub race, cap race, and cycle race were all amazing and won quite a few applauds and hearts in the audience. The cheer and glee was evident from their lively performances and it was pure fun. The day was not just about winning it was more about having a gala time rather than winning.
Chief Guest Kushal Malhotra praised all the students on giving such a brilliant performance and awarded all the winners with certificates and medals. She further added that by participating in such sporting events children learn the spirit of brotherhood, fair play and it also helps in their all round development. School Principal Anu Sharma, Director Prithinder Singh, founding member Pritpal Singh among other teachers were also present during the event to encourage the children.
