Esteemed Panel of Judges for

KEEKLI’s Poetry; Story Writing; Drawing; Fancy Dress Competition – 2020

Over a month-long Creativity Competition held in September, we received outstanding number of participants with over 300 plus entries in different categories from all over India – Himachal, West Bengal, Kerala, UP, New Delhi, Gujarat among others. We hope that it was an amazing experience for you all as it has been for us. We are thankful for all your incredible submissions and we wish you all the best. The Results of the Competition will be declared on 1st November, 2020.

We wish to introduce our esteemed panel of Judges, who have taken time out of their busy schedules to meticulously review all your submissions and select the best entries. We are honoured and glad to be associated with such prominent personalities from the field of education, creative arts and media.

  • Mrs Pramila Nanda born in 1947, has a host of qualifications including B.A., B.Ed, Nursery Teacher’s Training, Diploma in Home Science, among other. She was a teacher in Naval Public School, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi for 15 years followed by 22 years as a Marketing Executive in an International Company dealing in Educational Programmes for children. She quit working in 2016, to pursue her interests of travelling and sightseeing.
  • Dr Shweta Sachdeva Jha, Assistant Professor, Department of English, Miranda House, University of Delhi. She joined the Department of English at Miranda House in 2008, and received the Felix Trust Scholarship to complete her doctoral studies in History at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. She did her M.A. and MPhil in English from the University of Delhi after doing her B.A. from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi. She is interested in interdisciplinary studies on Children’s Literature, Gender History, Genre Fiction and especially Women’s writing. Her current research projects are in Digital Humanities, Archival Studies and Urdu literature. She recently completed a Delhi University Innovations project on Children’s Picture Books in India in 2016.
  • Mr Pankaj Molekhi is a senior journalist, with over two decades of experience in several reputed media groups – Times of India Group, India Today Group among others. He has keen interests in politics, social transformation and humanities.
  • Dr Chaman Sharma, Associate Professor in Painting, G C Solan. With MA in Fine Arts (Drawing and Painting) from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra (GOLD MEDAL) NET and SET qualified; Ph.D.  in Visual Art from H. P.  University, Shimla, Dr Chaman has participated in more than 59 State / All India / National Art Exhibitions and Art Workshops held in different parts of India and abroad. He is the recipient of three State and six All India Awards in the year 1998, 2002, 2004, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2012. He has held nine solo shows in the year over a period of time and has attended 13 days International Artists Camp in Maldives in 2011.
  • Ms Kanchan Rathna is a visual artist based in Bengaluru, and has showcased her works in Cochin, Thrissur and participated in the Kochi Biennale 2013-14. She is also volunteering for an NGO, Jeevarathni foundation which works with destitute children. She has participated in the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishat’s Annual ‘Santhe’ in 2019 and 2020.
  • Dr Siddharth Pandey is a writer, photographer and curator from Shimla currently based in Delhi-NCR. He holds a PhD in English and Materiality Studies from the University of Cambridge, UK, where he was based as a Cambridge International Scholar as well as a Cambridge Commonwealth Scholar from 2012 to 2019. He was a Visiting Fellow in Art History at Yale University, USA. He has written, published and presented widely on hill station cultures, children’s and fantasy literature, architecture and object cultures, cinema studies, and heritage management, among other areas. Currently, he is writing two histories of Shimla and has contributed articles to The Hindu, The Pioneer, The Indian Express, The Quint, and Scroll.in. In 2016 and 2017, he served on the Final Panel Jury of the Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Writing Competiton, the world’s largest and oldest literary contest for school children.
  • Mr Saurabh Agnihotri is a true believer in creativity. Lived and brought up in Shimla, he studied at Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, thereafter moved to Mumbai, the City of Dreams to pursue a career in movies, even though these were small character roles. Few of his noted works include Bhaag Milkha Bhaag; 3-Idiots; Welcome2Karachi; Jolly LLB 2; Sattelite Shanker among others.
