Saurav Suman, who clinched the bronze medal at the Senior Asian Kurash Cup held in Nukus, Uzbekistan, called on Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today in Shimla.
The prestigious international championship took place from May 22 to 25, 2026, where Suman delivered a commendable performance to secure a podium finish, bringing pride to Himachal Pradesh and India.
Currently serving as a Junior Engineer in the Jal Shakti Vibhag and posted at Matiana in Shimla district, Saurav’s achievement has been hailed as a remarkable example of dedication and discipline.
Chief Minister Sukhu congratulated the athlete on his success and lauded his hard work and commitment. He said such achievements would inspire the youth of the state to pursue excellence in sports and other fields. The Chief Minister also extended his best wishes to Saurav Suman for his future sporting endeavours.
