Lalit Kala Akademi Calls for Artists

The Regional Centre of Lalit Kala Akademi, under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, is organizing a painting competition on the occasion of ‘Sewa Parv’ on September 30, 2025 at its premises in Gaiety Theatre Complex, The Ridge, Shimla.

This initiative is part of the nationwide celebrations under the ‘Sewa Parv’ campaign commemorating 75 years of Indian independence and aims to promote the theme ‘Viksit Bharat @2047’ (Developed India @2047). The event will witness enthusiastic participation from artists across the region, including students from universities, art colleges, and schools.

The competition will be held from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM on the day of the event. Participants can register via QR code provided in the circular. All registered participants will be provided with drawing sheets at the venue, while other art materials must be brought by the participants themselves.

The awards and felicitation ceremony will take place in the evening of the same day. Notably, all art enthusiasts are encouraged to participate in this event and contribute towards the vision of a Developed India.
