A farewell function was organized at Lok Bhavan today to honour Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla. Lady Governor Janaki Shukla was also present on the occasion.
On behalf of the Lok Bhavan staff, Secretary to the Governor C.P. Verma presented the Governor and Lady Governor with a traditional Himachali cap, shawl, and a memento as a token of respect and gratitude.
Speaking at the event, Governor Shukla fondly recalled his three-year tenure in Himachal Pradesh and expressed his appreciation for the dedication and support of the Lok Bhavan staff. He highlighted the opportunities he had to work on various social initiatives with the active involvement of the people of the State and said he would always cherish the memories of his time here.
Governor Shukla praised Himachal Pradesh as a scenic hill state with hardworking and honest citizens. The function concluded with warm wishes from the staff for the Governor and Lady Governor in their future endeavors.
