Mandi Disaster Relief: 1317 Families Get Aid

In line with CM Sukhu’s directives, the Mandi district administration is actively carrying out relief and rescue operations in disaster-affected areas. The Chief Minister is personally monitoring the situation and has assured full support from the State Government to ensure that aid reaches all affected families.

A state government spokesperson informed that 1317 food kits have been distributed to disaster-hit families across various regions of Mandi district as of 4th July 2025. Each kit includes 5 kg flour, 5 kg rice, 1 liter oil, 1 kg each of salt and sugar, 2 kg pulses, 100 gm turmeric, 100 gm chili powder, and 100 gm tea.

The distribution breakdown is as follows:

  • Thunag: 197 kits

  • Janjehli: 69 kits

  • Bagsaid: 1000 kits

  • Dharampur: 40 kits

  • Chauntra: 11 kits

Additionally, 160 kits for Janjehli and 176 for Thunag (Seraj Assembly constituency) were dispatched today for further distribution. The spokesperson added that 665 food kits remain in stock and will be supplied to affected areas as needed.

These efforts reflect the government’s commitment to timely and efficient relief delivery, ensuring that no affected family is left without basic necessities.
